I have just recieved my Paddle Simulator and now its time to put it to work. I also just finished the COLDorado Classic 3 mile paddle today (2/27). As soon as I get my time from the race I will build my training plan around the mile splits. I will also take into consideration the race conditions during the race.
Stroke efficency and Erector Spinae (lower back) muscles strength/endurance are two of my main areas of improvement. The Post Chain Muscles are some of the most overlooked in improving speed and power in the water and on land.
This is just some areas that need immediate attention. During the training process to improve my racing the whole body will be attacked.
I will stay intouch with the progress of the training.

I started using the paddle simulator about a month ago. Was unable to get out on The lakes to paddle. Last fall, the end of my first sup summer, I had terrible form and always felt a bit uncomfortable. Made it out for the first time here last week and my paddling skills had improved double fold. I was totally surprised I wasn't sure if the simulator was helping g or not. I paddle a 6'10" SUP so keeping balance can be a task. Working on the simulator puts balance and paddle passing into practice. I also noticed that I had a bit more paddle power in each stroke. Unsure if this is due to feeling more comfortable or if I built more of the random muscles in which suping developes. I am so stoke about SUPing now that I plan on trying some racing now. Started building a race SUP last night.

The deck is a balance board, so it gives a real Stand Up Paddle sensation! If you want to try it out sometime just let me know, we can work something out!
