Hi everyone, I am beginning my search for a board and thought I would reach out to see if anyone had pertinent advice on the following:
Board size- I've narrowed in on boards in the 10.6 range because I am relatively small and light (5'3 115lbs), fairly fit and have good balance from a history of dance and yoga. I want a board that is maneuverable on flat water, has decent pick up and that I wont get bored with. Riding will be on Lake Michigan.
So far I am leaning towards the following boards so if anyone has any reviews I would appreciate it.
Yolo Surf Model 10'2 http://www.yoloboard.com/shop/yolo-surf-board-white-blue.php?__utma=1.1917931038.1355345522.1355345522.1355345522.1&__utmb=1.12.10.1355345522&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1355345522.1.1.utmcsr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none)&__utmv=-&__utmk=212055572
I like the Rogue boards also. I have an 11' Rogue tropical which is super easy to manage on flat water and busier water. Check out the roguesup.com website (check out the allwater boards). I'm 5'4 and have a tall SUV. It's lighter than my first board which was a 10'6" Doyle (super steady great board). And every single person that tries my board loves it.
Check out the Rogue Tesoro http://roguesup.com/tesoro.html. Wide and stable for yoga, flat water, or surfing! It is just what you are looking for 10'6" x 31" x 4.25" You will love it! I even use mine to paddle whitewater!
