I'm floating around this region of the world for awhile and looking for a place for SUP.

While a tour or excursion would be cool, I'm more interested in a place with rentals, maybe next to some nice coconut trees and hammocks. In other words, while I'd love the Cadillac of SUP destination adventures, I'm really in the market for a Honda civic.

Also, there's a tidal bore in Borneo, outside of Kuching, Sarawak, in early May. Does anyone know if it's been SUPed? Word there are crocs in them waters: http://www.theworld.org/2011/07/an-island-with-tidal-bores/

So, great community of world traveler SUPers, where do you suggest I go for heavenly environs and a SUP retreat of a lifetime?
