The waves are going off! 15 foot plus today. It is crazy to watch! Yesterdays trials started in epic Sunset Beach fashion. 6 to 8' surf Hawaiian style with larger sets. Competitors were charging trying to make their way to the main event. 48 trialist will be narrowed to 4 advancing to the main event. Today starts the second round of the trials and if the winds stay favorable the main event will run as well. The surf has jumped up to 10 to 12' Hawaiian meaning 20' plus faces!
