Manny Vargas It was great to shoot Sean Poynter yesterday in Oside with some fun size waves. PS: Just signed up for the Survivor Beach SUP race. http://www.survivorbeachsup.org/
The difficulty comes when the nice sunny days of spring and 70 F deg air and 38 F water and the wet suit is wet from inside, just how thick of a wet suit is best ? and not overheat. Is a dry suit better and how warm of air temp can a SUPer handle in a Gortex suit without overheating in the sun.
Hey Alex, They had a great discussion on cold water paddle gear on Distressed Mullet recently (link here). I just revisited it and found some helpful suggestions!
Thanks Alex! Such important information. Paddling in freezing temps is something to be undertaken with caution. A wetsuit only works for a limited amount of time, especially if you are standing on the board & paddling back in frigid temps. Mahalo & stay safe!
