Certification as Standup Paddleboard Instructor. The number one goal of the “ASI” Certification Course is to provide for the overall safety of the Standup Paddleboard Beginner through a Standard of Instruction based on overall water safety and sound SUP teaching techniques. Any sport that involves open water conditions is inherently dangerous. A Standard of SUP Instruction Manual and Practical Teaching Techniques will provide the Certified “ASi” Instructor the ability to provide the best learning conditions for all beginner SUP paddlers. The Academy of Standup Paddleboard Instructors will learn all aspects of Basic SUP Instruction through classroom instruction and practical learning techniques.
