The Jimmy Lewis stand up paddle board actioned off for the highest bid on a sup board to date.
PALM BEACH, Florida – When John and Bari Denney left Maui to open Jupiter Paddleboarding in South Florida a few years ago, they had no idea how the sport would grow and what impact they would have. The blue water and wealthy inhabitants of Palm Beach helped make them one of the largest SUP retailers in the country. To match their clientele, the Denney's chose legendary shaper and friend from Maui, Jimmy Lewis to supply their boards. One of their customers, Jimmy Buffett, owns a Jimmy Lewis paddle board and is also involved with the Everglades Foundation. This charity works to increase awareness and conservation of the wetlands and natural sources of water in South Florida.
