Barnstable, Massachusetts has two SUP events to benefit the Bays.

BARNSTABLE, Massachusetts - Two exciting events for Stand Up Paddle Boarding will benefit Three Bays Preservation, Inc. in the town of Barnstable, Massachusetts and will take place beginning this weekend.

Paddle for the Bays:

Saturday September 8, 2012 will be a day to learn about Stand Up Paddle Boarding at the Paddle for the Bays demo. There will be fun for the whole family with time to test out stand up paddleboards, learn how to properly paddle and discuss with others how SUP has made a difference in lives.  The event will take place from 10am to 4pm at  Dowses Beach, Osterville.  There will be some admission fees for adults & children but all the equipment will be made available.

RACE Cape Cod:

RACE Cape Cod will be a two day event taking place on September 21st and 22nd of 2012.  In the words of the organizers, "It’s a test of speed & endurance on courses of varying difficulty. All ages & levels of energetic paddlers will compete in this spirited challenge on the waters of Barnstable’s Three Bays in an event entitling the winners to be designated 'The Best on Cape Cod.'"  There will be prizes for the winners and RACE Cape Cod will take place on the historic Ropes Beach in Cotuit, Massachusetts.
