SOUTH ATLANTIC AVENUE PONCE INLET, Florida -·The·15th Annual Land Shark East Coast Paddle board and SUP Championships is the oldest and most continuous paddle board race on the east coast.

2012 overall and traditional paddleboard champion Dylan Newbiggin from Australia is expected to defend his 2012 title as is St. Pete's SUP Champion Patrick Klemausch.

The Paddle board Festival starts off with a Land Shark sunset beer and paddle mixer on Friday the 27th 5 PM in front of Racings North.  Race registration begins Saturday morning July 28th at 7:15 AM on the deck at Racings North Turn.  It is also possible to register ahead of time here:  http://eastcoastpaddleboard.eventbrite.com 

SCHEDULE:

At 8:15 there will be traditional announcements and race rules.  At 8:45am the 7 mile race will start.  Then at 11:15 will be the Harold Iggy One Mile Memory Sprint Paddle with a winner takes all format.  The awards will follow at 12:00pm.  All Classes 1st through 5th place will receive an award and all participants will receive one Land Shark Race T shirt and the 1st 100 paddlers will receive a second T-shirt. All first place winners in their respective class will have their names inscribed on the perpetual trophy.

Men's- Traditional Paddle Board, 14 and under & Unlimited ( over 14), Women's- Traditional Paddle Board - Open class, SUP- Men's and women's (Surf Board, 12.6, 14), Junior- SUP - open only, OC1 ( open), Surf Ski ( open)
