SANTA ROSA BEACH, Florida - YOLO Board is thrilled to announce that team rider Ingo Rademacher will be the first celebrity SUPer to join ABC's Dancing with the Stars. The announcement was made yesterday on Good Morning America. Ingo is famous for playing the role of Jasper "Jax" Jacks on General Hospitalsince 1996. The season premiere of DWTS airs Monday, March 18th at 8|7c.·

YOLO Board recently caught up with Ingo to get the first hand scoop on his new adventure...

YOLO: We’re so stoked for you, Ingo! How do you feel about doing DWTS?

Ingo: Super nervous! I have 2 left feet, slight dyslexia and a little ADD... I'm a man! A great combination to learn dance steps haha ;-)

YOLO: Can you dance?

Ingo: Not yet, but I really hope I'm going to learn. This is probably the scariest thing I've ever done.

YOLO: Who is your dance partner?

Ingo: Kym Johnson. She has won DWTS twice already! We’ve had a couple of rehearsals and I couldn't have asked for a better partner. It's working well so far but that doesn't mean I can dance yet ;-)

YOLO: Do you think your stand up paddling has helped prepare you for DWTS?

Ingo: Yes! Especially all the SUP surfing I've been doing lately in Hawaii on my 9'2·YOLO surf model, which involves a lot of squatting, balancing and lunging. But dancing is so different… everything hurts at the moment. When it’s all said and done, I think my legs will be in good shape for the 32 mile long Molokai race in July this summer.

YOLO: Are you planning to race much this year?

Ingo: Definitely! After DWTS, I will head back to Hawaii and train hard for Molokai. I’m hoping to also run another Camp YOLO Board Hawaii this July, so stay tuned for that. I'm also planning on doing a few longer races after Molokai in Kauai and Maui. After that most likely Lake Tahoe and Hood River. All depends on a lot of things, but that’s my plan so far.
