PARK CITY, Utah – Just outside Salt Lake City, on Highway 80 en route to Park City, lies a pretty stand up paddle destination called ‘Little Dell Reservoir,’ about 3 miles north on SR-65 past Mountain Dell Reservoir and Mountain Dell Golf Course. Taylor and her friend Paul often enjoy paddling and fishing on the Little Dell. Having spent most of their lives on the Pacific coast near San Diego, it was difficult for them to abandon their love for water. So when the largest sports retail convention came to Salt Lake, the Outdoor Retailer Expo, they took advantage of the occasion and got themselves outfitted with all the latest and greatest SUP gear.
Now as adventure and the beauty of nature calls, Taylor and Paul often load their standup paddle boards onto their automobile and eagerly hit the road toward some of their local destinations, Little Dell Reservoir included. The waterways are beautiful and the fishing is just fine, with catches like Brook trout, Brown trout, and native Bonneville cutthroat trout. Not to mention the overall healthy benefits of being outdoors and on the water, paddling in search of every nook and cranny harboring the next catch.
Today's modern couples celebrate life and enjoy it, and when they are passionate about life, it shows. Everyone who comes in contact with Taylor and Paul sees something shining and brilliant about them...perhaps it's the way they smile, their attitude and self-assurance – and, somewhere in there, the stoke of standup paddling.
